The rules of renting, buying and consigning with us.
These are starter terms written to get the platform running. They must be reviewed by a qualified Indian lawyer before launch — do not treat this page as legal advice or as a finished document.
OOTD Cart operates an online marketplace for renting, buying and consigning designer occasion wear in India. By creating an account you agree to these terms.
You must be at least 18 and provide a valid Indian mobile number, which we verify by OTP. You are responsible for anything done through your account. We may ask for government ID before dispatching high-value items.
A rental covers the dates shown at checkout. Prices include alteration, delivery and return within our serviceable areas, and GST. In store cities you pay a booking advance and settle the balance on delivery; elsewhere the full amount is due before dispatch. Every booking is confirmed by a call from your Relationship Manager.
We take no security deposit and do not charge for normal wear — loose beadwork, minor stains, small tears at the seam. Loss, theft, burns, cuts, colour damage and alterations made by anyone other than our tailors are your responsibility, assessed at fair value and escalated to a manager before any charge is raised.
In store cities you may cancel or change a booking up to delivery; amounts above the non-refundable booking fee are refunded within 24 hours. In delivery-partner cities you may cancel or change up to one hour after delivery, with refunds processed within 7 days of pickup.
Items bought outright are sold as described, in the stated condition. Because occasion wear is a hygiene-sensitive category, sales are final except where the item materially differs from its listing.
If you list your own garment with us, the commission split and terms are fixed at intake and shown to you before you agree. You keep ownership until it sells. Payouts are made to your verified bank account once the minimum payout threshold is met.
These terms are governed by Indian law, with jurisdiction in the courts of Gurugram, Haryana.
